Effective Date: April 30, 2026
At Domistiq, protecting your family's privacy is core to how we design our product. We build features to keep your household organized while keeping your data under your control: private, secure, and exportable. This Privacy Policy explains what information Youtilitics ("we," "us," or "our") collects when you use Domistiq (the "Service"), why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.
This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service. By using Domistiq, you acknowledge that you have read and understood both documents.
We collect information you provide directly and information generated by your use of the Service. Examples include:
Data may be provided through our web app, mobile apps (iOS/Android), or integrations you enable. Some information is stored locally on devices (where applicable) and synced to our secure backend when you choose to sync.
We use data to operate and improve Domistiq, and only for purposes that support the Service or your choices:
We do not use your personal data for targeted advertising, and we will not use your family's information for marketing without your explicit consent.
We do not sell personal data. We share data only in limited circumstances necessary to provide the Service:
We require all processors to maintain appropriate security measures and prohibit using your personal information for their own purposes.
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality (sessions, preferences) and for basic product analytics to understand how Domistiq is used. Analytics data is used in aggregate or anonymized form. You can control cookie preferences via your browser settings and opt out of non-essential analytics where provided.
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. Examples include TLS encryption in transit, encryption of sensitive items at rest (such as access tokens), regular security reviews, and access controls limiting employee access to systems on a need-to-know basis. Local device storage uses standard protections offered by the operating system.
No system is 100% secure. In the unlikely event of a data incident, we will follow applicable legal requirements and notify affected users and regulators as required by law.
In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users and regulators as required by applicable law, including California breach notification statutes.
We retain account and content data for as long as you maintain an account or as needed to provide the Service. When you request deletion or close your account, we will delete your personal content in accordance with our deletion procedures, except for limited residual copies that may remain for a short period (for example, backups or logs) or where retention is required by law. We may retain anonymized or aggregated data indefinitely for product improvement.
Typical retention examples:
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data. We will help you exercise these rights after verifying your identity:
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended:
We use sensitive personal information (such as birth years or school information) solely to provide the core functionality of the Service and do not use it for any other purposes.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
EU and California residents: you may have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA (access, correction, deletion, restriction, and portability). To submit requests, contact us. We will verify identity before fulfilling requests and provide information about how we processed your request.
For users in the EEA/UK, we process your data based on: (i) Contractual Necessity to provide the Service; (ii) Legitimate Interests to secure our platform and improve features; and (iii) Consent where you have explicitly opted into specific features (like marketing or third-party integrations).
Domistiq is designed for family use. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental consent. Parents or legal guardians manage profiles and consent for children as part of a family account. If you believe we have collected personal data from a child without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will promptly investigate and take corrective action, including deletion where required.
Domistiq is a family organization tool and may be used by households that include children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent, as required by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
When a parent or legal guardian creates a family account and adds child profiles (including name, relationship, school information, or birth year), they provide consent on behalf of the child. We may seek additional verifiable parental consent (e.g., via email verification, credit card, or other FTC-approved methods) before certain collections or features.
Parents may review, correct, or delete their child's personal information at any time through account settings or by contacting us. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will promptly delete it.
We encourage parents to supervise their children's use of the Service.
Domistiq's services and our processors may be located in multiple countries. If we transfer personal data across borders (for example, between the EU and the United States), we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms required by applicable law. If you have questions about specific transfers, please contact us.
Domistiq may link to or integrate with third-party services (for example, calendar providers or voice assistants). Those services have their own privacy policies and practices. We are not responsible for third-party policies; review their terms before enabling integrations. When you connect a third-party account, you authorize the sharing of the relevant data between Domistiq and that service.
If you use voice integrations, your audio is processed on-device and not recorded. Domistiq only processes the text transcript of your command. We do not have access to, nor do we store, raw audio files of your voice on our servers or any other device.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy here and update the effective date at the top. We may also notify you by email or in-app notice when appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have questions, concerns, or requests about your privacy, please contact our privacy team. For legal requests, please include sufficient details to process your inquiry.
By using Domistiq, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection and use of information as described.
